Scrotal Tightening

SCROTAL TIGHTENING

The loosening and hanging of the scrotum can cause discomfort not only for aesthetic reasons but also due to friction. Often, men with a loose scrotum complain of pain or discomfort during certain physical activities and because they do not feel comfortable with tight clothing. Tightening of the scrotum tissues significantly reduces these annoyances and men regain their self-confidence.

Indications

  • Relaxation of the scrotum after hydrocele operation
  • Use of extension devices after circumcision
  • Aging

Duration of operation: 30-45 minutes.

Anesthesia type: local anesthesia using an oral tranquilizer, rarely intravenous anesthesia.

Operation

The scrotal skin is elevated and the underlying muscles are reapproximated to effectively hold the testicles. Sometimes the muscles need to be strengthened with a graft. The excess skin is then removed. The incision is stitched with thin, absorbable sutures that do not need removal and leave no scar.

The operation results to a normal shape and size of the scrotum.

 After surgery

  • Use cold pads, but no ice, to reduce swelling and bruising.
  • Use a small sanitary napkin for 1 week
  • You can return to daily activities in 1 week
  • Avoid intense physical activity, sports and sexual intercourse for 6-8 weeks.
