Gynecomastia

GYNECOMASTIA

The increased breast size in men may be the result of heredity, congenital anomaly, hormonal disorders, use of drugs, weight fluctuations or chronic intense physical exercise.

Gynecomastia repair significantly improves the appearance and consequently increases the levels of self confidence in men.

Indications:

Increased bulk of male breasts resulting as congenital or hormonal disfunction, use of special medications or anabolic agents, can cause an increase in optically disturbing male breast tissue. In addition itching and tension can occur.

Before the operation, an outpatient differential diagnostic assessment should be completed in order to identify the cause of gynecomastia. Prof Kakagia will guide you through the complete process.

Duration of the procedure: 1-2 hours depending on the findings

Type of anaesthesia: general anasthesia

Inpatient treatment only

Operation

Through a small cut on the lower half of the areola, the excess fatty tissue and breast tissue are removed and the skin smoothed flat. No visible scar appears as a rule.

After the operation:

Wear a compression bodice for 2-3 months

Suture removal after 2 weeks

Light physical exercise after 3 weeks

Full exercise after 3 months

Avoid sports activity for 3 months.
